I will try to keep this simple since this is my first time posting here. First of all, hello everyone. Over the last 8 months or so I have been programming a game to put out on Windows PCs, and eventually onto consoles as well. Level design is roughly halfway complete. The game engine is functional along with all controls. Music is being recorded as well. The story is fully outlined, just working on dialogue as I plan on having full voice acting. To clarify, I am not the only one working on this project. Just a bad habit to write this way.
Now about the game. It is a side scrolling action game. The story follows the main character (still working on a good name) who is a prisoner in an underground research facility. At the opening he is contacted by an outside helper who opens up his cell and directs him through the facility in order to escape. One of the main mechanics in the early game is the ability to stop the action and adjust parts of the environment, such as switching cameras or turning automated defenses against the enemies. The main character also gains new magical type powers at set intervals in the game, allowing for drastic changes in gameplay as it goes in order to stay entertaining.
Now for what I am looking for. It is the consensus of my team that we will need at least 3 artists. One to do concept art of characters and environments, as well as the in between level comic book panel cutscenes. The second to take care of animations, mainly including the main character, enemies, and bosses. The third person will be for more static objects such as backgrounds and environmental items.
As of now this job will be percentage of profits. Right now I don't have the funds to offer payment on completion. However, once I have enough to create a video there is a plan to create a kickstarter.
If you have any interest, or questions, feel free to send an email to bhay1985@gmail.com. If you could include a sample of your artwork as well it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read through this.
