As the oldest of 3, I acted out action rpgs of my own creation, taking up every role just to bring the best experience to my siblings, they loved it and to this day they still talk about it. I get really into my ideas and spend afternoons with a notepad in hand finding ways to balance an ability or concept.
Some of my proudest ideas include a music based fantasy platformer, a potion brewer for mobile games and a stylized pro wrestling rpg. My ultimate goal is to design and manage game mechanics. Things such as the combat system of Sleeping Dogs or the hacking system of the new Deus Ex. I know what makes sense in the context of games without sacrificing balance or fun and I love doing it.
I have 4 years working in 3D and at first it was simply to stand out from other designers, but by visiting Korea I saw the importance of color theory, a strong silhouette and 3D fundamentals. I have a strong understanding of next generation techniques such as normal mapping, texture baking, and compositing. I can sculpt, retopologize, unwrap, texture, low poly model and most importantly adapt and problem solve. I am a very flexible individual and will do whatever is needed to get the job done. Just in the past few months I have learned a new retopology program, a 3D print viewer, a rigging system and various sculpting and modeling techniques.
Currently I am working with Demi God Games as a sculptor for 3D print and PCZ studios as a low poly game artist. Previously I was involved with more commercially focused work. Things like video editing, ads and animation. All of my experiences have taught me to put a lot of focus on communication and managing time.
I am a very valuable asset and cannot wait to hear from you.
