Of course. I do not want to be indie game developer forever and I want to learn so I just been wondering. What exactly does it mean when a Game developer is no longer a Indie developer but I Pro Developer or whatever it is that they call it.

"Indie" game developers are usually very small or solo operated development studios that operate on little to no budget constraints.

A "Professional" developer is a company with many developers who can work on their own engine and/or games.

Pretty basic explanation.

From what I've found, "indie" is actually often meant to just refer to a solo company, as in no publisher. Which technically means many large-scale companies are essentially "indie", i.e. independent; they only work for themselves.

Like Jacob says, they're not exclusive. You can be a professional indie, obviously. Indie just means you're more or less in control of the stuff you make, or self-funded.
