Could GarageGames release a new game? Similar to ThinkTanks? Because it would be really good if they could, another first person shooter....
Maybe the game could run on Java I don't know, just an idea.....

GarageGames is not really in the game or engine business anymore. Unless there is a paid contract to develop a game for someone, you won't really see something like ThinkTanks or an FPS come from us.

Hi Michael,

Please, would you mind telling us what is the business of Garage Games nowadays, since the company's business is no longer games neither game engines?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Why specifically on Java? Why would language even matter for this request? I'm puzzled.

Just a suggestion to run on Java. Like Minecraft.
It's just, I love ThinkTanks. People tell me the days servers be spilling with players.
And now well nobody really wants to play anymore.....

But there is still a community of us though, that still play...

Does anybody know how much it would cost IF we was to acquire the rights to TT?

I never saw an itemized breakdown of asset worth when the company was purchased. The only way to find out is to contact IAC and request a quote.

How can I contact them?

Your guess is as good as mine Sam. IAC is a huge conglomeration. I have no idea which of the many departments oversees the IP and rights for assets acquired by the old GG purchase.

@Michael Would you have any info as to how the Legions community acquired the source of the game when InstantAction shut down?

Does anyone in GG know the IP/rights department or email for IAC? I sent an email to info@iac but haven't received a response yet.

@Manoel - A special deal was made between IA and Chris (Bugspray). He was the champion of Legions and did not want to see it die. He did all the leg work, negotiation, and signing.

I do not know who you would contact at IAC to discuss IP/rights for something. It's a very large company.
