Torque Script IDE from Garage Games is it still coming?

by Benjamin Stanley · in Torque 3D Beginner · 08/05/2013 (3:59 pm) · 7 replies

Hey everyone,

Just curious is the Torque Script IDE from Garage Games still coming out?
I remember that there was a blog post about this somewhere.

However I cannot seem to find it at the moment.

If the Torque Script IDE is not coming out. What else can I use?

I really have no money and Torsion costs money. On top of that I am not sure if it is supported for the latest version of Torque MIT.

If anyone can help please feel free to recommended an IDE for TorqueScript.

Thank you,

Ben

We never had any plans to build an IDE for TorqueScript. You may be thinking of Nucleus, which was an IDE Melv May was developing on the side as his own product while he was still a contractor for us. Unfortunately, Melv's new job meant he wasn't allowed to continue work on it.

@Scott Burns - Ah Ok, That is what I was probably thinking of.

@Stab Calloway - Thanks! These will help.

BTW - I am currently toying around with the torsion demo. I like it. Is it still updated?

Because I do not see any updates on the Garage Game Store.

The only reason to develop and Torque Script specific development environment is some sort of remuneration (cash flow). I use Torsion and it is an excellent program, BTW. Well worth the investment.

Hey Demolishun,

Just curious is it updated to be compatible with the latest version of the MIT release?

Just curious.

Torsion works with both T3D and T2D regardless of version. It has not been updated in quite a while though. I know with T3D every project produces a torsion file that lists all the files in the project.

Thanks Demolishun,

I guess I will be buying it soon. Possibly next paycheck :)

Thank you again,
