River surface disappears when viewed closely

Ron, I am starting this thread simply to remove the conversation from the cheetah issue thread. If there is any kind of testing I can do for you when you get ready to work on the problem, let me know and I will keep you informed here. Until then, for those who are having similar issues, this is what is known by me, so far: the surface of the river disappears when viewed from close positions. The water interaction still exists, but the view changes to the bottom of the river bed. According to Ron, this is a known issue he will be addressing.

If anyone has anything useful to add to help bring the issue into close focus, please, by all means, add it to this thread. The more information Ron has, the easier it will be for him to isolate the offending cause and rectify the problem.
