I' mlooking fore help with 3D Action Adventure Kit By Ubiq Visuals

Back in June, I purchased the 3D Action Adventure Kit By Ubiq Visuals. I have a vision about how I would like my demo look like. The idea I had in mind was a Mario galaxy type game. My question is what would be the first steps in setting something like this up. Moreover I just purchased the cook book by torque3D if that is a start, is there anybody out there that could show me what's needed other then an idea that I have stuck in my head.
