Any way to have normal maps with light maps?

I notice that as soon as I add a lightmap texture, the normal map goes away. It seems like I can have lightmap or a normal map, but not both, is this true?

Thanks, setting the tonemap to my lightmap and setting Minnaert to 1 does seem to work somewhat, but the shadows are less pronounced than when using the lightmap slot without the normal map. Also, I don't think the lightmap I generated in Blender is the same as a tonemap. Seems like tonemaps are somewhat different than lightmaps.

I ran into this once, try setting your Minnart to .82..... it seemed to work for me. Then again, I don't know ALL of your settings but, think of it as this... lower = finer. Oh yeah... this is IMPORTANT. Ensure you are using PNG format image with Alpha enabled for all maps (especially diffuse)..... This is a common mistake. Think of it as using layers in photoshop or another program. You will NOT see the proper effect if you do not have a transparent layer.

Thanks guys for the responses, I think T3D is not for me at this time. I appreciate your help, but I think I will be moving on.Derry

Set the Minaert constant on the material to 1 and they should start working together
