Who is the Best @ Torque Script Here?

by Josh Noland · in Torque 3D Professional · 07/09/2013 (1:18 am) · 7 replies

I ask because soon I will be paying for solutions to specific problems when free help dry's out...
I have not asked a single question yet, but I know they will be coming soon..
Lets make a video game guys.. mine I will offer paying gigs when I can prior to a demo/full release.
Not moving forward has never been a option for me.

I do not mean to offend anyone saying what I said above this sentence.
I know I will need help even a pro knows that, I am just willing to pay.
I am not full time employed but I can raise money for a worthy cause.

Do not get me wrong here I am not offering hundreds of dollars for a single fix.
That wont happen unless its a truly epic problem! I offer a working mans wages in america,
Times being a coder in my book. I can handle at best 20 bucks a hour on a good day

www.lostonexile.com

P.S. the website shows very little and is not web mastered for search optimization on purpose.
But the game IS lawyer based now stupid money backs this project of Mine but it is NOT my money...
Do not worry though solve a problem and bam! you will get paid I give you my word.

Define best please. It's a very broad term. Fastest scripter? Most knowledgeable? Most experienced? Systems developer? Game play developer?

Two excellent TS programmers: Daniel Buckmaster and Robert Fritzen. I am sure there are other excellent TS programmers here, I just have seen a bit of work via the forums and it is solid code.

However, any good programmer that is familiar with the Torque engines should be qualified.

* feels respected *
lol...

I'm alright at doing TS code (mainly from my 8 years of Tribes 1/Tribes 2 coding experience), but I'm not really "open" for doing work at the moment with a few projects of my own and a line of pack support I'm providing.

Sorry I can't help with the project, but I would be more than willing to look at code problems here on the forums if you run into any.

I think Mich said it best... what does 'best' mean to you? Also, as a bonus note.... I have been around here for A LONG LONG time. Rarely have I seen a problem that the community as a whole could NOT solve. Just saying, you have YEARS and YEARS of experience in this entire community, I recommend if you run into an issue.... make a call to the community... we are pretty good about getting back and fixing things :-)

Well to define best to be honest I am looking for someone that understands the scripting deeply as in can write it from scratch if they needed to or could look at my code problems when I come across them and make them available via a email to be analyzed.

I hope that kind of clears it up ;)

@ Mich thanks for asking that question i was unsure how to ask for this kind of thing

@ Demo thanks for the info

@ Robert thanks bro

P.S. I just bought your Conifer Forest Pack Ron and shot ya a email with a request.

You flatter me, Frank! I will admit to a lot of experience with the engine, though I much prefer C++ to TS. If you have a specific issue you need to pay to fix, hit me up (email's in my profile) and we'll see if I can help you out. Unfortunately my hours are pretty full this year, but I should be able to spare some time!
