Cymatic Bruce reviews Torque 3D Oculus Rift demos

by David Wyand · in Torque 3D Beginner · 04/30/2013 (2:27 pm) · 8 replies

Greetings!

I thought I would share this with our community. Cymatic Bruce does regular videos on Oculus Rift games and demos. Just yesterday he went through our Rift Valley and Aurora Borealis demos. This is great exposure outside of our community.

Enjoy!

Cool stuff. Nice to see someone without Torque experience using it.

I like that he was able to bulls eye that mine with no crosshair from about 10 yards or so with one shot.

That's a great review and really makes me want to target Rift.

@Steve, yeah its cool to hear him speaking about what we know and have experienced with Torque 3D.

This is how we advertise Torque 3D. Really enjoyed seeing him respond to all the guns for the first time, though I'm still incredibly embarrassed about that assault rifle :P.

I think this needs moving to the blogs so it doesn't get lost.

Nice to see someones reaction of a first time torque user, we may have a convert :-)

Hey Everyone.

Cymatic Bruce has just released another video, this time talking about 3rd person views and the Oculus Rift. Among a number of UDK examples, he also references our Rift Valley demo. I really like that to him Torque 3D is just another way to make your game and it is all about the results. No bias towards one engine or another.

Ordered my Rift, looks like August or September before it arrives. But plenty to do until then ;)
