Story Presentation Preferences

So I am designing a new game in a more better way than my last one. This time I am actually planning it all out on paper first. I'm still working with T2D.
Right now I am working on the story. It's more of an arcade game but it has a short background story just to tie it together. The condensed outline takes just two pages double lined.
I was wondering what method of story telling would you prefer to see in a game.

- COMIC BOOK: A bunch of panels like a comic book with the story telling inside the frames.
- PICTURE BOOK: It consists of single frames or super-short animations highlighting the main parts with text nearby describing the rest.
- ANIMATION: No 3D, just 2D sprites. I will only attempt this if the votes are near unanimous though. [li]JUST TEXT: One big (possibly scrolling) wall of text. Definitively boring.
About the author
I have always loved video games and computer games so decided to try making my own. Spent a little more than a year on a program simply named Game Maker which really got me interested. Finally decided to get "professional" by getting Torque 2D.

Have you thought about a 'motion comic' approach? Comic book with limited animation would be a nice 1/2 way point. Avoid the BLOCK OF TEXT stuff its dull and honestly there are so many better ways to tell a story.Ron

I would prefer to not start on this project in full until T2D MIT comes out so I still have some time to decide on which story method.

The way I amateurishly story-boarded my story it looks like it should head in the picture book direction but I actually really like the motion comic idea. Do you know of any examples I could look at?I would prefer to not start on this project in full until T2D MIT comes out so I still have some time to decide on which story method.

"Comic Book" is probably the most "visual" way of getting text story over without it being boring though a little static.
"Picture Book" might be less work and look better with a few "super-short animations" to give some movement.
