Hi there,

is there any news on making Torque 2D compatible with windows 8? and if so what's the ETA on that?

I would expect compatibility with that OS fairly soon, but being a fairly new OS, it probably wont happy till next ear.

Running as a desktop app should work correctly according to a number of people on our forum. WinRT is a much, much larger hurdle.

thanks for the quick replies. I haven't had any luck yet. it begins to load then it just dies, maybe something will come out soon enough. If anyone has gotten it to work and has any tips, i'd appreciate it :)

I had that problem for a while on Windows 7. I would double click TGB icon, and in Task Manager, the process would show up, but nothing would happen on screen.

*Run as Administrator
*Disable dual-display monitors. (this honestly affected TGB for a while, but now it doesn't. Weird.)

Hey Everyone,

i figured i'd come back and give an update for those whom might find themselves in my position. I got TGB working on windows 8, a simple windows update and also bringing your video card's drivers up to date will get TGB up and running no problem.

Also, the MIT update might fix the problem.

Just another +1... I did the Windows 8 upgrade (instead of a full re-install) and everything worked right out of the gate with no additional work on my part.
