Compiler failing to recognize getPosition(), setRotation()
by James Peter Fayette · in Torque Game Builder · 11/27/2012 (11:14 am) · 7 replies
I cannot provide the actual log, because I am away from the computer that I use for coding, but at any point in the code where I try to use either getPosition or setRotation, it fails to recognize it. I will post the logs when I get home, if that would help.

I'm using whatever compiler it uses by default when you compile from TGB.

When you get home, post the code that has .getPosition and .setRotation in it. Also include what type of object is calling getPosition and setRotation.

I don't think he's talking about compiling C++ (VisualStudio) but compiling TorqueScript. When you get home, post the code that has .getPosition and .setRotation in it. Also include what type of object is calling getPosition and setRotation.

For some reason this is working perfectly now, despite the fact that I didn't change anything. strange. I guess we could call this issue resolved?

Chalk it up to either Jack or I's aura. (Though this is quite the aura snipe, you might be thousands of miles away [the phenomenon that when someone is watching you try and replicate a bug, it works perfectly])
