model snapping

hello as i try to work on building levels(not so good) i've been trying to figure out how to get the models to snap together just right. i've fiddled around with the setting but can't get things to line up just right i rather have a gap or there of center and such and by the time i finally get a few models lined up i'm ready to give up till the next try. Is there any good info on setting things up to snap together? I used UDK for a bit and i think it spoiled me to the snaping feature i'm sure torque is capable of the same i'm just a little lost. Thank you all!

Use "Snap To Grid" - there are a few different snapping options and settings all available from the main toolbar in the "World Settings" section. Torque uses a 1m grid by default. If you create all of your objects with this in mind it should make things much easier.

Object snapping is something else that was broken by IAC and ignored by GG.

But by all means you can make a game out of nothing but 1 meter cubes, so long as its a minecraft clone.

It is a very very frustrating bug, i tried to look at fixing it but the code in there is more complex than my ability so i failed.

Richard, really? GGs only solution is to scale all the art to fit the arbitrary world unit? :p

depending on what you are constructing, another alternative might be reworking the road mesh tool, theres a mod somewhere that converts it to a different shaped profile.
