Torque Game Builder demo crashes on startup, opens garagegames.com in browser

I have been working with the TGB demo for a few weeks, and have been heavily considering purchasing the full version, but yesterday, when I attempted to open the program, it opened a completely black window, closed after a few seconds, and opened the garagegames.com home page in my browser. after re-installing multiple times, the problem persists. I would assume that this was a simple bug, but it concerns me that it opens the browser, because that does not seem like something it should be able to do.

I hope someone can help me with this soon, as I had planned to purchase the full program, and I probably still will if this issue can be fixed.

Sounds like you hit the time limit of the demo. The demo is limited to 30 days. Not sure why the editor itself didn't open to the trial ended window though. Been a while since I've run through that one.

Torque has a script call that can be used to launch a browser to a page. So the demo is supposed to open the browser to the T2D product page, but some clean up of the site recently have accidentally killed the well-formed url it uses for that.

When you do purchase it make sure to uninstall the demo prior to installing the full version.

Oh. that makes sense. thank you for your time. I had assumed it was something else, because it looked exactly like a crash.
