Torque3D RPG Resources?

by Dylan Greene · in Artist Corner · 09/27/2012 (3:06 am) · 3 replies

First and foremost, I'd like to extend my gratitude to all the folks at GarageGames for providing such a cool engine.

However, in terms of content, I couldn't help but notice that there isn't a lot of content for RPGs. Are there any plans to expand RPG resources?

In the next tutorial of my "Getting started with Torque3D" series I will create a guide for spellcasting might be interesting for you.
But it actually builds on my Basic spellcasting resource
That should get you started on some basic RPG elements. Also Kevin Mitchell is working on a RPG Engine which should have every feature you need it seems pretty awesome. However that one will be a commercial product.
Otherwise I know you can find melee system, dialog systems etc on the resources page by searchng for it.
Do you have any specific features you need?

Great! That's what I needed. Thank you for such a prompt response.

Oh two other things i forgot to mention! The IPS lite (free) Can help with creating more sophisticated effects as t3d's particle system is pretty fps oriented. A pro version is under development aswell but not sure when i will have it done.
Also very important to mention AFX :)
