Game Character Creation With Blender and Unity

Just wondering if anyone has read this book, "Game Character Creation With Blender And Unity" by Chris Totten. Obviously its aimed at Unity users, but from the looks of the TOC, it might contain a good amount of information for Blender game character creation for any destination. Has anyone read this that can confirm/deny my suspicion?

Can't comment on that specifically, but there are tonnes of tutorials for using Blender for (low-poly) character creation lying about on the internet - including some old ones specifically aimed at the previous GG engine, TGE.

I personally found this guy's tutorials invaluable when I first tried 3D modeling. cgcookie.com/blender/author/jonathanwilliamson/

There's also tonnes of stuff on youTube that you can search for.

Thanks for the response, Steve. I've looked at cgCookie before. Are you a paid member or just free? If paid, do you think its worth the $10/month?

I use it for free. There are lot's good free tutorials and hints and tips all over the internet, it's just a case of searching them down, and then practising, practising, and more practising.

Here's a useful one on mesh deformation - something I've been having trouble with recently. www.pig-brain.com/tutorials/tut02-01
