Collada import from Blender: Where are my materials?

When I import a dae file that was exported from Blender, are the materials and their settings suppose to be imported automatically, or do I have to edit the materials.cs file.

You create your materials. Either manually or by using the Material Editor. Check out the tutorial in the documentation for the Material Editor.

When I apply textures with the material editor, my textures don't show up. All I get is a solid color.
