Torque Game Engine 1.5.2 SDK on Mac OS X

by Dr Jason Amerson · in Torque Game Engine · 09/11/2012 (8:30 am) · 2 replies

I am trying to install Torque on Mac OS X and I have looked at the documentation for it, but it is outdated. It is talking about a pb directory and the Setting the Build Location section is outdated as well. Can someone please help?

The projects for TGE have not been updated in a long time. You will need to convert them to XCode from Project Builder. It has been so long that I'm not even sure if the latest XCode will do it any longer.

PB to xCode was done a long, long time ago. I worked with TGE152 [with and without AFX] on OSX for years before buying a PC, all in xCode.

Depending on your verison of xCode, the proj files should work fine. If I recall, you'll need to add some of the old SDK components to get it to work with pre 10.5 systems, but if you're targetting modern macs it should work without too much trauma...
