What version of Blender must use

Hi to all,
I know, blender is not the best but i have not 3400$ to spend for another software license.
Now i want only to know what version of blender work good with t3d ...
And some help if present here, i have see many post with many blank link...

I test it now, many user tell me to use the 2.5.7 version for export collada, don't have many problem like the new 2.6.x ..
Material/Texture problem? i have think to use unwrap software for make separate texture for the model created in blender...
Another question: the grid size for have like grid site for t3d use?

Blender will work well when importing objects. It is a little more difficult getting animations with constraints working. In my opinion an older version of blender (2.49?) with the actual exporter worked better for a lot of things than the collada exporter. However, it does not support the new stuff either. There is a thread somewhere around here talking about a lot of these issues.

Keep in mind that Blender is aggravating on the aspect of the trillions of hotkeys it has embedded in its software, 90% of which are never used by most users in any field. I have been using Blender for several years and even still fat-finger an unknown hotkey only later to find out that it had caused some strange issue later with the model, sometimes forcing me to import the model in a fresh Blender file to continue work.
