Hi there!

Im trying to start up a community of people to create an RPG.

Im looking for people for the following:

*Sprite creation/alteration
*Sprite animation
*Fellow Torque 2d users

This RPG could be really awesome, if i can get the right people.

If youre interested, please get a hold of me!

i will state that i might kill the project. i've gotten a lot of bad "feedback" on the project and its got me down about it.

it was basically going to be an RPG; a throw back to the days of Final Fantasy 2 and 3 on the SNES here in the USA (the japanese versions were different then our 2 and 3).

however, there were going to be other elements to keep it fresh.

it was also going to be based on the X-Men.

hopefully that sheds more light on it.

You need to atleast make a specific plan. If the plan is okay, there will be people who will support you.

*Sprite creation/alteration
*Sprite animation
*Fellow Torque 2d users

Above, it will be easy. :)

I'm wishing you good luck! Finding an RPG Sprite artist can feel like finding a drummer in a rock band sometimes, you know they're out there.... just can't get a hold of one haha

Don't get yourself down. If you have a vision for something pursue it.

The only thing I would think would be a problem is this statement:
Quote:it was also going to be based on the X-Men.

I would steer clear of anyone elses IP (intellectual property) even in concept. Now you could make it based upon mutants that have super powers, but not specifically the X-Men.

^Demolishun^ Or, Shane could put his marketing hat on and simply ask Marvel's permission to cannonize it then make mad bank! Yes, the story and subsequent materials will need to be very strong, and development contacts cultivated professionally, so you don't get burned. This is something I do on a regular basis whenever I need to mine/deface pop culture.

Everyone on this site, and millions of other people would love to play a new, 2d X-men game, are you serious? At the moment, my P.R. dept. is buried-but I would love to help you write an X-Men story. No joke. I also happen to be a 2d RPG artist, with more original sprites loitering on my drive than I can count, AND I've been looking for a competent rock drummer for years!XD

Get a Creative Commons licence to protect yourself, it's free and super-easy. Any project that's worth a damn is gonna take time, and probably be real hard as well, but THIS IS POSSIBLE.

Hit me up man, or- you could trash your game and spend more of your time at the cafe, the choice is yours. :)
