Problem with video on macbook rpo

I have been having a problem with itgb on my macbook pro. Everything so far works fine except when I launch the game with the play button the play viewer gets really slow and when I move the cursor around it leaves copies of the cursor all over and the other moving objects also leave a trail and move pathetically slow. My mack book has an i7quad core,4gb of ram, and a AMD Radeon HD 6750M. Has anybody else had this problem? I am pretty new to macs in general so it might just be a setting that I need to fix. Any help would be appreciated.

Add an ImageMap to the scene to use as your background. The trail occurs only if you are using the default blank scenegraph as the background of your scene.
