Beginner game music. First time doing this

Hello,
i'm a 18 year old currently studying sound engineering.
my course covers a lot of live sound, studio recording, as well as movie soundtracking. but doesn't cover any game music, which is something i have been interested in for a long time.

lately i have started throwing together some rough loops. but i find it hard to make music without really having an idea of what genre of game it will be used in.

if anyone would like to hear what i have done please send me a message and i will email them to you, feedback would be greatly appreciated.

it would be good to hear from a game makers point of view what you would expect from a person like me providing the music for your game.

Ps. i never write on any forums, i'm not even sure if this is the way to go about asking these questions.

thanks.

also if anyone know's of anyone needing some music on a small project i would be happy to provide whatever i can just for the experience.
