Can't Open iTorque 2D
by Justin Wright · in Technical Issues · 07/15/2012 (1:08 pm) · 5 replies
I just bought iTorque. When I open it and try to open a new project, it says: "Unable to open project". I also can't access the rainy day example project (or any others if there are any). I am running a windows pc.

I am running as an administrator. I just uninstalled it and downloaded it again. Same problem. It's version 1.5.

It's best to avoid installing in the Program Files directories too. I have no issues in Win7 with any of the engines when doing that.

When installed to Program Files (x86), you could open projects but they would fail to run. Giving you a " 'initialize Project' function could not be found." error instead. Searched the forums and this

popped up and pointed towards the problem at paths with spaces in the names. Figured the Program Files (x86) name for program files may of been acting funny. Installed somewhere else and it works just fine.
There you go.

Solved it... DON'T install iTorque to the x86 program files folder but rather to somewhere else. I installed it straight to "my documents" and it worked fine. When installed to Program Files (x86), you could open projects but they would fail to run.
