Access denied for new projects

by Johan Brodd · in Technical Issues · 04/21/2012 (5:58 am) · 4 replies

I dunno why tgb2d acts up, but for some reason I'm not allowed to create new projects. It doesn't matter where I create my projects, I just don't have permission to create 'em. And I'm the administrator for my computer.

Has anyone had this problem, and how did you solve it?

Try right clicking on the TGB shortcut and selecting "Run as Administrator."

Tried that too. Same result. :( The error I get is:

"An error occurred while creating your new project. Could not create the output path"

Johan@ I have, try this

check the folder in windows explorer, see if it exists or not
try coping the whole project folder from the ./Templates/ directory over under the Projects folder and restart the "t3d toolbox".

Sorry it's the 2d game maker. :) And I reinstalled tgb to thwart the problem. I dunno about this, but there where no error message shown from within Torque itself. It was just a plain windows dialog with the error message I described above.
