WTF GG?!

There is a strong demand on the market for good, fast 2D cross-platform game engine. iTorque2D has a great potential to be all in one solution for mobile games, but it has few drawbacks. One of them is speed - http://www.garagegames.com/community/forums/viewthread/125418/2. C'mon! Don't you feel ashamed to be beaten by ugly engine with rotten design?! Didn't Eric wrote a Video Game Optimization book?! Why don't you aggressively advertise you game engine? I don't see any PR at all! You can do it at least on game developers forums, blogs, etc for free as a single topic, not paid ad. You have a good editor that can speed up development and decrease cost greatly! This is your key killer feature! You should use it! You should port your engine to Android - this will give you new users base and wouldn't take much time and efforts, since your code is already cross-platform.
I've been watching after this engine for a long time, hoping it will blow everybody's minds tomorrow, but a lot of time passed and this hadn't happened yet :(
Why this bothers me?! I like and highly respect GarageGame as a company. And i feel upset, when i see a great potential for my colleagues, but they do not use it.

@StiX, I agree with your sentiment but as the saying goes ... "The best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time".

You can still do a lot of good stuff with the engine.

Hey StiX, good commentary. Just wanted to drop in and let you know that we are working on performance, as Mich noted. We also already have ad campaigns for our 2D and 3D engines running with Google. We have looked at other routes such as GAO, but are still evaluating the conversion rate.

Android is a much, much larger issue when you look at deploying to a largely fragmented target. We are evaluating the market, but have not made any solid decisions on support for it.

My 1 1/2 cents...

Developing for the Android platform, which always seems to be a race to the lowest common denominator, is fraught with difficulties; and I would hate to see the good people at GG diving into that pit of endless despair!

Anything that would hamper increased performance and capabilities for IOS iT2D is something that would affect my pocketbook. I would vote for increased Cocoa goodness in each new version of iT2D!

I work in both, in a few engines, both are the same level of nastyness at times. ..if it were easy, everyone would be doing it.
