Lighting Issues on Mac OSX Lion, Intel HD 3000 Graphics Card

When I updated my MacBook Pro to Lion, suddenly I started seeing several "black polygons" showing up in the TGE game I worked on several years ago, TubeTwist. I have also seen the same issue in ShowTool, another old TGE product, so I know this is not specific to TubeTwist. The black polygons show up at certain angles, so this is most likely a lighting issue.
My MacBook Pro has an Intel HD 3000 Graphics Card. I have another Mac that has an ATI card, which I also upgraded to Lion, and it does not show the same issue. So apparently this is a driver issue, as it only happens on the Intel HD card, and only after upgrading to Lion. I had hoped that Apple would fix the issue in a Lion update, but so far they have not.
I wonder if anyone else has seen this issue and has found a possible workround?

Here is the same model on my older MacBook Pro, which has an ATI graphics card. No issues.youtu.be/CftabWYst8I

You can see how the triangles quickly shift from colored to black. I'll make another video on the computer that doesn't have this problem.
