Merging GMK With UAISK For T3d1.2

by Michael Williamsw · in General Discussion · 03/28/2012 (5:06 pm) · 7 replies

Does UAISK work with GMK in T3D 1.2 .

everything works well when I install only 1 package.

But when I install both the overrides each other
is there a way to use GMK and UAISK together in T3D 1.2

Try doing a custom installation of The UAISK on top a T3D + GMK build, rather than just copying the files over.

Back up and look at what GMK is doing for teams. I'm betting it uses teams for some of their AI features, too. So, even if function names are different the functions themselves from the two different kits may not be playing nicely together. You'll have to decide which features you want - the GMK features, the UAISK features, or a hand-blended mix of the two.

And who said AI programming wasn't fun?

i know this post is old, but i cant get the uaisk and gmk to merge in afx2.0 for t3d2.1, but did get weapons in and can use them and spells with my player, i can spawn ai;s with uaisk and use the other game mechs from gmk. only thing is , i love the triggers for bots and sound and teams and npc code for gmk. i wish there was a way to make the two work together.

I could use uaisk for mobs, cats wild beast and such, and use the more defined and seems refined GMK for npc's and enemy guards, trolls ,humans, ugly female elfs. i really need to reskin thtat one.

If anyone has figured out a way to merge the two so all the features work on both of them please drop me a post. Even though they have 1.2.12 GMK , i had to use the demo they have to figure it all out. not very detailed on where things go after the code patch for the engine.

Thanks.
