Interiors and sky bleeding into buildings issue

Hi all,

Im working on a project that requires detailed building interiors. I am having problems with the sky from the exterior bleeding into the interiors and the objects outside casting shadows inside the building. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? I have attached some screenshots of the issue. All of the buildings are completely closed with no geometry errors - I have even tested this by just putting a blank 6 sided square into torque and get the same issue. Its always the face facing the sun too.

The interiors are separate meshes but exported as part of the Static Shape as we need different interiors for the same exterior building for greater variety of buildings. I have tried adding collision meshes to the outside, I have tried using thicker walls, joining the meshes together, using separate static shapes. inputting zones etc but having the same problem. I'm sure like everything there is a simple answer to this but its evading me at the moment.

Any assistance very gratefully received.

I am having a simular issue myself exporting a cave as a .dae and found out that it intersecting the terrain just a tad. Make the building hover over the terrain and save your file and then reopen it to see if the this is the issue. Also it could be the entrance column that is causing torque to break up the model in a weird way which could cause the artifact. Hope this helps.

same happened to me several times in empty terrain.

also in dark foggy weather u will see your shadow,no matter how small light source is in your level.it always show player shadow.

Thanks for replies. I have tried a number of your suggestions as well as testing with just a blank 6 sided cube and the same for internal walls. The only solution I can find is to move the internal walls in further away from the exterior walls in the model. This results in a slightly smaller internal layout than desired but does resolve the problem. I can only suggest the same as unless there is another solution this is the way I shall progress.

At least it is a solution of sorts for now, I will let you know if I come across anything this week. The building is looking great btw.
