I would recommend asking about the product specifics on their forums. The Daz community is generally a very helpful bunch. They should be able to help you understand the connection between everything in your download list.

I'm sure the Forums on DAZ are really good support like Torques Forums.

read this: http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/-/daz-studio-game?item=10675&_m=d
although daz decimetor can not actually make enough poly reduction.
see this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8pmiYZioEU
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7UM0TG5TyI
use daz's collada format for t3d.
there are more related daz+torque engine.
do a search.
i think, we the game developer need "Game Developer Kit for DAZ Studio"
free.not those time consuming tools for some environmental work

Make sure you read the license on Daz. Last time I read it you can't just use their models in games. There are restrictions. Unless they recently changed this.
#12
no changes.still same.
most of the licenses is applicable for distribution.
for learning and testing i do not think there is any problem.
only when u r willing to distribute your game to your friends.
u have to obey the license rule.

An indie license is $500.
www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=12113
This only applies to Daz content, 3rd party material is seperate.
The full license agreement is here:
forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=134702
It's a lot of jargon but the important bit is this:

Then use the export to Collada and off ya go!
02/04/2012 (7:19 am)
I would expect to NOT be able to use existing 'content' without a license...so just create your own, 'DAZ'/'Poser' content. It really isn't that hard; you just need to research a bit on the subject. Then use the export to Collada and off ya go!

I know BrokeAss Games has a few DAZ models for sale (V4 Ranger GRC) is one, so it's got to be ok to do your own thing.

Just so everyone knows Collada export for Daz's Genesis figure doesn't work. I think other figures work (Michael 4, Victoria 4) but I'm not sure. Right now I think the only way to export is using FBX, then convert to collada for T3D in another program.

They have a tool to drop Poly count down, I think its called Decimator
www.daz3d.com/i/shop/itemdetails/?item=10673
But I think it may still not reduce poly count enough for Torque?
Maybe this software is a bust for Torque use?
Mike

I did read that for Torque you have to drop the Poly count down to like 18000 or less?? Not sure on the exact count, to use. They have a tool to drop Poly count down, I think its called Decimator

i have used that.it works.even u can reduce to 2000.i tried it on a ranger model but after reducing below 12000 polygone the quality become terrible.
i just try to test.not for using.so do a little research.may be u will be able to optimize enough.
tips:
hide/delete the body part under cloths.replace heir.

I'm kind of curious why they did this other then for promotional reasons. Do they have something huge planned? Kind of curious.

It's not a uncommon marking plan to give away your old stuff to get people to buy your new stuff by getting you hooked on it OR you create so much content that is propitiatory that you have to buy the newer software.
My guess. I tried it, but decided to put my time into Blender!
But I hope this helped someone.

All I know is they are re-doing their whole web site, maybe moving it to another?? And that they have announced newer versions of the software to come out soon. I'm thinking it's to get people to start using their software, I.E. get you hooked on it, then show you the Better new software and hope you like it so much you buy it/ upgrade. It's not a uncommon marking plan to give away your old stuff to get people to buy your new stuff by getting you hooked on it OR you create so much content that is propitiatory that you have to buy the newer software.
