How to submit an Art Packs Add-On?

by Nicolas Villarreal Kwasek · in General Add-On Discussion · 01/12/2012 (8:05 am) · 7 replies

Hello,

I'm new to the GarageGames community, and I would like to know how can I submit some 3D content to the ArtPacks Add-On gallery. Is it possible or just limited to GarageGame employees?

Thanks!

I too would be interested in the process for this. I have some high quality art packs made that I know the community will want. Video will be posted this weekend showing these things off.

Hi,

Thanks for your replies. We are already using the Asset Store:

But we would like to expand our store's visibility. Since Garage Games has a Store, we would like to submit our content here. But as I mentioned... it is confusing. I'm not sure if any developer is free to post his assets for sale (for a commission of course) or is it limited to GarageGames employees?

Thanks!

I forget which employee you can talk to to have your pack considered for the store. It might be one of the Chris' now, I've seen the name mentioned in a blog somewhere... but surely David would be able to point you to the correct person to have it reviewed.

I personally found that the Unity Asset Store is bloated with 75+% crap. Their reviewing standards are far too low.

@Nicolas Villarreal Kwasek and @Ron Kapaun: I'm the official contact here at GarageGames for getting your content into our Add-on store. Please contact me at chris@garagegames.com with your content for evaluation.

Thanks for all the replies.

@Michael: I agree that much of the stuff on the Unity Asset Store is low on quality. I would say 50% maybe. But it is a nice feature that the moment you download something, it already is integrated with the engine and all materials, models, textures are nicely connected among each other and packed into Prefabs. So a big +1 on that.

@ Christoper: Email sent. Will be waiting for your reply.

Thanks!
