Still alive?

Hi,
just wanted to ask, are there still people using TorqueX? The forums seem rather dead...

But the forum on the CEV sites are closed and anyways they were never really active. So, are there any people left that are developing a game with TorqueX?

Hmmm. I hadn't noticed that the CEV forums had shut down.

I am working on a game as week speak. However, not sure it will be complete as CEV is kinda a ghost town and Garage Games has packed up and left town.

Seems there is not much life left in TorqueX. Sad, as it's a good engine, but without the backing of a community, I don't know...

I'm working on a game and will deliver it using TorqueX 2D, handles the job nicely and I know the engine and I'm fluent in c#!

I'm revisiting torqueX 2d for a new project... currently trying to figure out how to use the 4.0 CEV version.

We've been working with it for 4 years now, building our epic master piece Dungeons: the Eye of Draconus.http://www.youtube.com/embed/BV5fy2wgKmc

We released Project Gert: Moonbreaker on this engine last year. I had hopes of expanding in 3D, etc, but nothing going as of yet. I only have myself for a team currently, and I'm a bit demoralized for XBLIG due to extremely low sales. Here's some videos of our last attempt, and some dev blogs.

I'm actually probably going to port it over to Playstation Suite, that'd probably be pretty cool.

I'm probably going to make my own repo since I haven't been able to have any sort of access to this mythical CEV version of Torque X.I'm actually probably going to port it over to Playstation Suite, that'd probably be pretty cool.

Before you start down that path, the license does not allow for porting the engine to another platform like that.

The CEV repository is still live and accessible, nothing mythical about it. You have to contact Giuseppe De Francesco, who maintains it, in order to gain access to it -- it may take him a few days to verify you have a license.

@Scott
Would I just talk with you guys before I release anything, then? I'm not sure you guys would be interested in supporting PS Suite since that would kinda mean bringing the TorqueX project back (PS Suite is going to be using Mono and C# and kind of a similar model to XNA Indie Games).

I've asked and talked with him July last year and had no details on how to access it since. I've just assumed it was alive at one time but has since been dead.@Scott
