My Pony Show (Feedback Request)

This game was my first hit and only published game to date but I’m looking for feedback to improve it. I plan to release My Pony Show 2 in the near future. Thanks for feedback/suggestions.

Hey there Micah, thanks for sharing your work! Here are my notes for your game.

  • The video's audio and visual quality were great. I would suggest making the video full screen though.
  • I like the colors, and subdued tone of the splash screen, but a small graphic in the corner might make it' pop'
  • The main menu show 14 of the same icon, with different colors. Maybe use a larger graphic, and have a color picker.
  • 'types' of horses would be great, but if that is too graphic intensive, then maybe have a 'spotted' or 'paint, or 'more realistic' horse types
  • main menu - when you pick your pony, the sound you hear sounds like a scared horse... maybe something cuter, like a snort .
  • main game - general - it would be nice if there were an indicator letting you know that the pony is dirty, or is hungry, i.e.: the horse has dirt on it, then you have to wash it off, or the pony is whinnying and has a thought bubble over it's head showing food)
  • maybe animate the pony a little in response to the actions you perform.
  • have the pony make sounds in response to the actions as well.
  • maybe small graphic on the help menu.

Yeah the problem Im running into is art. I'm very limited on art resources other wise the game would have more choices. Plus I have zero art skills lol so Im fairly limited on creation. Little side note about this game, my 12 year old daughter helped desgin the entire game/concept. My kids often help me create software. If I had a good artist Im sure I could do alot more with this program. I hope when I release vrsion two, I have a artist to help take this game to the next level. Thanks for the feedback.
