Two graphics cards t3d only sees one

by John Crawford · in Hardware Issues · 12/08/2011 (12:20 pm) · 3 replies

I have a alienware m17x laptop. It has both a nvida geforce gtx 460m 1.5 gig card and
a on board Intel HD graphic card.

For some reason torque only sees the Intel card and a generic card driver. Is there a way to have torque use the nvida Card ?

Thanks

just wanna try the basics first, is the nvidia card enabled after you hit FN+F7 and restarted the computer? usually systems with 2 cards can only have 1 enabled at a time and need a restart after you enable it.

This is a known issue with Nvidia's Optimus technology. Unfortunately Optimus based cards are not support at this time.

The intel is on board and the nvidia is deadicated. I have the torque exe set to use the nvidia card but it does not seem to make a difference.

All my higher end games seem to find it ok.
I seem to have all the higer end graphics on all my games and in Torque.

Thanks
