decals show on player

Whats happening is the decals are appearing on the player after shooting a wall or something and getting a little close to it.
Not sure whats doing it or how to fix it,thought maybe someone in the forums could give a hint how to fix it.

Thomas, post your system specs and make sure your drivers are current.

I found that the hitbox in 1.2 is catching the effect of explosions, bullets etc.. so instead of the bullet decal ending up on the model, it ends up on the hitbox.
I have posted information about that in this post here.. (issue 8)
.. but I got no feedback from GG if they are working on any of those issues I'm afraid. I don't even know if all of them are bugs either, so I am not so inclined to report them as bugs. I honestly know too little about T3D at the moment.
I would like to see a buglist too (no point in posting known issues) but I don't think they have a public list of those.

I have arcane fx now so i dont have guns and bullets. all spells for the time being.But yea i think there hitting the collision texure,or mesh, i didnt try setting it to visible texture and see if it stoped.
It might.
Same thing when you explode something on a tree, it shows as a flat square black decal on one side ,and you can see it like that from all sides.
Would be nice to change those from decals in explsions to all particles explosion functions,they look way better and leave no decal laying in wait to disappear.but with the bullet decal, i can see where that has to be there.

The whole decals on collision box vs mesh is a setting in the editor, unless you are getting decals on collision meshes when it is set to visible mesh.
Th bullet decals simply look like they are in the wrong place in the render order list, well, more likely the soldier is in the wrong order, depends on perspective really.

I believe there were some 'discussion' about using orc camp assets in the past, there were notices about some assets not being usable from the beta versions of T3D. I cannot honestly remember which assets were discussed, so it might be worth looking for.The whole decals on collision box vs mesh is a setting in the editor, unless you are getting decals on collision meshes when it is set to visible mesh.

Yea there was art asset usage thing in it, but it has been said all assets from the demos and everything are usable in T3d1.2
