Avalanche, my first indie game, is now in production phase! I fell like a kid in a candy store right now, lol. I'll definitely post some pictures when it gets to that point. For now, here's information on the game.
Avalanche is a top down shooting game I thought of 10 years ago. Despite it being a shooting game, the object of the game is not to kill everything on the map. Of course there's a lot of shooting and blowing things up, but that is the least of your worries. The real object of the game is to get to the top of the mountain before the avalanche hits you. If that avalanche touches you it's game over. When that avalanche comes you have to go to a "safe zone" as fast as possible. Keep in mind that you also have to worry about people shooting and throwing things at you and bunkers shooting also.
I'm aiming for 50-75 levels. Each level is laid out slightly different and the avalanche happens sooner and soon.

GML is a pain to learn properly. They have 2 outdated (imo) books and little to no good tutorials. So I'm making the switch to torque 2d again. I wish I would have realized this from the start. Life goes on, as the saying goes.

3-4 months later and still working on it. I switched to gamemaker because I thought it would be easier for me. It was at first but it's taking a lot more time than I think it should to shoot properly.GML is a pain to learn properly. They have 2 outdated (imo) books and little to no good tutorials. Best of luck! Be sure to post blogs with footage when it's closer to release.
