Do you think Torque 2D is what I need ?

Hello there people !
I'm terribly sorry for writing you on this one... I've read numerous posts asking this question, and I know the answer would be : download the demo and try to see if it suit you. Well... That's a nice advice, and I'm busy downloading the demo right away... As a matter of fact, I was almost ready to buy a year ago, just when the problems you had arrived. So I waited patiently to see where Torque was going into making a personnal investment. Now, that I see that Torque survived (congratulations on that one !) I check the website, and through other posts, I understand that Torque will be higher in price in just... 5 days... ouch... Too short for testing this. As I mentioned before, I'm just a hard core gamer, who has thousands of ideas, and with some background in programing. But I'm not a company, and I would like to buy a game engine the cheaper I can afford. It's more for my personal pleasure than anything else, and maybe, if I can come up with nice stuff and ideas, well, maybe at that time, I can see to go professionnal. But for the moment it is purely a hobby.
I have a few questions though... Thank you for answering, I imagine that it is teadious for you always having to answer the same stuff again and again... But once again, I lack of time now...
So, here are some ideas and wondered how it could fit into Torque 2D. So, I want to make a 2D MMORPG... Nah ! Just joking on this one. No, I know my skills, and I want to learn. That's why I'm searching an engine.
So, one idea I have is to procedurally generate some 2D levels. Basic stuff, don't worry. I've already saw on youtube some tutorials which show how to place some items on the screen. Ok, fine. But what if I want to generate those levels dynamically, Ã la Worms for example ? Is that possible to instantiate the objects on the fly with T2D ?
I also suppose that T2D is working for the Mac ? (I'm developping on a Mac). Could I still be able to create exe files for windows with the mac version ?
Thank you for answering those two questions. That's the most important thing ! If it is all possible, I buy it straight away !
Thank you
Vampyre
