Looking for 2D Artist(s) for models and backgrounds

I am making a little indie game using Torque 2D and I am seeking some artists to join this project. It's basically a MMO guild management game (single player), that's supposed to be a bit of a spoof on the MMO genre. I'm looking to try to do a SNES/RPG style of graphics, ala early Final Fantasy or Dragon Warrior. The game needs an assortment of sprite characters and a few background pieces.

I'm willing to compensate people for their work, but this is just me making an independent game, so I can't really afford a lot of expensive commissions. I'd really like to work with people who WANT to be involved with making a game. I'd be willing to trade services.... If your an artist who wants to make a game and needs a programmer, I could probably help you out. I've got a musician on-board, and a fairly basic playable demo together. I'm still adding more content, but right now it's all place holder graphics.
