Torque 3D Demos

All,
I am having an issue running Torque 3D demos. Every demo I've tried to run gives me this error :
The program can't start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing.
I've fully upgdated my Direct X (11) and don't want to install and random d3dx9 dll from a random site. MS Technet seems less then helpful as well.
Any advice on this?
THX!

I think a note needs adding to the start of the the docs if there isnt one ready, or perhaps the torque installer should actually invoke the directx web setup to install/update directx 9 especially since the uptake of windows 7 is an ongoing process.

Future installers will be doing that, specifically because of that reason. We switched installer tech recently, iT2D was the first to benefit from that change, which makes it way easier to do things like that. What I want is for the installer to handle all prerequisites, but that may not be possible for some of them like PhysX.

When you say future installers do you mean future versions? becasue in all honesty i think there well be a number of people having this problem and turning away, if the number of people posting this problem in the past 6 months is any indication, there may well be another large segment who dont post and just move on.
I wonder if then you should consider repackaging current downloads, i do realise its an 'extra' step, but it is a pretty trivial exercise, at the very least the demos need that functionality.

PhysX comes with all nvidia drivers, but yeah, the physx re-distributable is somewhat large, i dont suppose theres a small physx installer the same as the DX that would help. When you say future installers do you mean future versions? becasue in all honesty i think there well be a number of people having this problem and turning away, if the number of people posting this problem in the past 6 months is any indication, there may well be another large segment who dont post and just move on.

And yes, by future installers I mean starting with 1.2. While it would be nice to revisit the 1.1 installers, I don't think it's likely to happen. Our internal publishing pipeline has changed quite a bit between 1.1 and now. So much so, that to do it would have to wait until after 1.2 ships, and by that time the gains from doing it would be minimal. But, it could still be a possibility.

Well, the PhysX runtimes aren't a problem anymore. Since Nvidia changed the licensing for it and deprecated the system software we've been able to redistribute the runtimes along with the engine. It's the SDK that we can't redistribute, though I'd love for it to be part of the installer. And yes, by future installers I mean starting with 1.2.
