black screen craches

Hi,
I am testing the 1.1 T3D version for a mouth and have to much crashes.
I'm running it on a Windows 7 machine 64 bits,
Intel Xenon CPU E5520 @2.27GHz 2.27 GHz(2 processor)
8Go Ram
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 (with last drivers updated)
i am testing the terrain editor, with a simple empty environnement and It usually crashes when I load a big terrain (4096X4096) or move even into a small (2048X2048).
I also noticed it usually crashes when I zoom in or zoom out threw the map, for example when the entire map is on the screen...
but it is not systematic... and i have no repro step, that's why it's difficult to talk about.
I can't see any message of error because when it crashes I have 2 black screens and I am forced to reboot by hand.
May be there's errors in the windows event log, but I have no idea how to read them.
Have any suggestions on how to go about debugging it?

I would suggest making a new folder renaming it this "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" without the parenthesis of course. This will give you folder access to most administrative actions in Windows 7. Upon completion you can open up the folder and 9th selection says "view all problem reports." From your explanation it seems that your PSU is not supplying enough voltage to your video card. Try swapping to a older less powerful video card and see if it still happens.

So I think the explanation you give (PSU is not supplying enough voltage to the video card) is plausible!
Thank you for your suggestion!

@ Thomas: I have changed my graphics card from a Reference GeForce GTX 285 to an MSI GeForce GTX 285 and the problem has completely disappeared! (since more than two weeks) I had no CRASH !So I think the explanation you give (PSU is not supplying enough voltage to the video card) is plausible!
Thank you for your suggestion!
