Tower Wars!

Hey everyone!
I just wanted to share a project I've been working on with several friends of mine. We're launching our website today and would love if you'd come check it out! The website has some basic info and concept art currently, but will be updated regularly.
Tower Wars
The game is Tower Wars and it's powered by Torque 3D. Here's a quick in-engine shot!

We're very proud to be using Torque 3D and it's working very very well for us so for. We're also glad to be a part of this very cool community.
Anyway, I hope you all like it!

Nice work, although speaking as a medieval combat nerd, you may want to consider making those arms be on torsion springs rather than simply flexible if you want to simulate ballistae rather than a normal crossbow. I don't know what the scale of those towers is compared to one of your characters, but if it is much bigger than hand-held I would consider going for torsion-spring ballistae rather than flex-arm crossbows.

Well, we are just aiming for what looks fun and a little cartoony. These towers are quite huge, and realism isn't the intent. Thanks for the compliments, guys!

Very nice. Good choice on game type. I think this sub-genre is here to stay. There is something to be said for simple strategy games. Risk is still fun after 20 years of playing this board game. I've logged over 200 hours on Defense Grid. I recommend looking at this game, if you haven't. It is an excellent design with a great reward system.

Hey thanks! Yeah, the team is made up of people who are big fans of the various tower wars mods for Warcraft and Defense Grid. They are both huge inspirations.

We just posted to our blog with a little bit on the art process for our towers. It's geared towards non-devs, so it's probably nothing new for you guys, but we hope you enjoy!

I love the style! It reminds me of the 'Great Adventure' toys from Fisher Price in the late 80s. :)

Again, looks great. I am proud to say Defense Grid has the most hours logged against it (almost 300 hours) out of the 50+ games I have on Steam. This would likely log just as many hours when you release it!

I just looked up the Great Adventure stuff, kinda bummed I missed out on that as a kid, haha! Definitely has that "chunky" look we're going for. So rad!

Sweet! I was hoping someone would do a Heroscape style hex grid game. Can't wait for the release!
