That doesn't actually seem to be a collada file. It is a binary file with a DAE extension, not XML. How are you exporting from LW?

I have tried with it straight as export letting it save it its way and by typing in .dae at the end ill e-mail both files

I think maybe if the files are proper.dae files then maybe im importing wrong into the engine. the path i go is copy the dae file and paste in the art/building(file i created in there). is ther another way to import im missing

1. Create your model.
2. Apply UV Map to model and make sure it has a unique name. i.e. - modelname_UV is fine
3. Open Surface editor and use the "default" surface as your texture. Just click on "default" and rename it to your new surface name.
4. Make sure Textures are assigned in the surface editor.
5. Export Collada in Modeler or Layout and make sure you type .dae at the end of the file. i.e "building.dae"
Let me know if you have anymore issues.
Good Luck,
Glen
