Failing to compile

So I'm making my first attempt to compile t3D from source on visual studio 2008 version 9.0.30729.1 SP and every time its giving me an error Error 18 Error result 1 returned from 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\bin\rc.exe' I've installed the SP1 for VS2008 and cleaned the project from the torque toolbox so i'm out of ideas as to why it isn't working
