How Do I Use Add-Ons?

by Matt Jasper · in General Add-On Discussion · 08/19/2011 (12:50 pm) · 7 replies

I just got the RTS Environment Pack, the Sticks and Twigs pack, and Torque Constructor and I have no idea how to use them. I'm using T3D Pro. Please help!

I would recommend starting with the documentation included with Torque 3D to get a feel for placing objects in the world editor. From there, the documentation for each pack should help you understand how the packs are organized so that you can begin laying out your levels.

Awesome, thanks! :D
I'll get right on it.

I read the documentations and did all the steps as it asked and it still comes out badly. From a distance, it has color, but up close it's totally black. In the Terrain Material Editor, all of the images that I load into it appear white in the little boxes, but are the correct color in the sidebar once I close the window. What am I doing wrong?

Oh yeah, that thing above was a different problem I forgot to address in the previous post.

An elaboration of the first problem:
I don't know how to put them into the actual engine. How would I go about taking the files I downloaded and using them?

Not sure I fully understand the question. First step is to make sure that the assets that you want to use are copied into the Art directory of whatever project you want to use them on
