Engine Choices

I'm looking to make a RTS, but I'm fairly new to the scene. I want to use this project as a learning opportunity. However I'm not sure which engine to use and which has the best support/tutorials (for learning purposes). Torque 3D seems to have the best support and has a tutorial on starting a RTS, but from different forums I've read TGEA + RTS Kit is the easiest to start with. Any recommendations?
Also, I've been looking for where to buy the TGEA/RTS Kit, but I'm not able to find it anywhere...

I was afraid it was something like that.. But thanks for the quick reply. Looks like T3D is my default choice haha.

I know at one point he had plans to make a Torque 3D version but not sure if that's anywhere still on the cards, sure if you post on the forums to ask then you'll probably get a reply answering that specifically.

Novack is generally the guru of all things RTS with Torque, he was one of the members responsible for porting the RTS kit from TGE 1.3 to TGE 1.5 and then up to TGEA.I know at one point he had plans to make a Torque 3D version but not sure if that's anywhere still on the cards, sure if you post on the forums to ask then you'll probably get a reply answering that specifically.

There is no RTS starter kit anymore, its one of thne things lost when IAC decided to hang on to as many assets as possible in the sale of GG to the new owners.

The RTS kit is also no longer for sale it was originally for TGE and not TGEA, although I think some of the community members ported it to TGEA.
Torque 3D is a much nicer engine to use, a lot cleaner, less bugs, much better editors to use than the older version. Can't say how easy it is to create an RTS using it as it's not something I've tried doing.
