T3D 1.1 Final - Failure to Render everything under Mac OS 10.7 - DUPLICATE

by Alex Mault · in Torque 3D Professional · 07/22/2011 (7:32 am) · 3 replies

WIth the release of Mac OS X 10.7 apple has changed some parts of OpenGL. I believe because of this everything renders incorrectly (see images). I have been unable to find a workaround so far.

Hardware
-----------
MacBook Pro 15".
Core 2 duo
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 512 MB
Mac OS X 10.7

Reproduce issue
-----------
Under 10.7 T3D will not even launch. The problem lies in the bundle loading system. (I'll submit another bug for that) A temporary work around is to provide a direct path to the bundle in the code. Once launched, issue will be reproduced by simply starting any game.

Known Workarounds
------------
None.

This is a known issue, well it's an assumed one at least. The Mac version is really just a preview essentially and there's a lot of things that still need to be fixed to work under Snow Leopard, so it's not surprising that it wouldn't work on Lion. We're still looking for a hardcore Mac developer to bring the Mac version up to snuff.
