Interactive Terrain

I just bought the engine and downloading now. I would like to know if there is anyway to implement in a game an action to interactively deform terrain. What I mean is for a player to be able to adjust an area surrounding a point to a given height/depth with a resultant slope to neighboring points thru an action in game.
Thanks!
Thanks!

You've just had an idea to come. I think it's practicable, but we should work a little.

You mean it is possible? Any idea where to start looking at the source to make this possible?

Look in the scripts of terrainEditor, and instead of using the cursor as a pressure point, use the position of the player or the raycast.

Quick question if I modify the source in a new project will all other projects come out the same or will the modification be for that specific project only? I'm messing around with the terrain editor wouldnt want new projects to come out the same.

The way I'm planning on doing it would be to make the absolute bottom lava, and have terrain on top of it however I have no idea how to implement the terraforming.
If you could sell, share, or point me in the right direction let me know.
(If selling please bare in mind I'm not a company like EA :P just a simple guy with a game idea in it's mind.)

Vlad hey there! Anyway the terraforming aspect might be released as a resource??? I'd like to have this. It's exactly what I've been looking for. Did you modify the Terrain Editor or the Map blocks themselves? You willing to sell? Anyways I'm very interested as it is exactly what I'm looking for and didn't knew you already had it. The way I'm planning on doing it would be to make the absolute bottom lava, and have terrain on top of it however I have no idea how to implement the terraforming.

Santiago, I believe all projects build off the same source. Not too sure though.

I've had a quick look at this in the past. Take a look at the Editors, especially on the tools that increase/decrease the terrain. Expose the source code from these tools into your game, however networking this multi-player side (real time) is a different thing altogether

We're planning to release that terraforming engine as a resource, but can't provide you with any ETAs, since it's not our priority at all, sorry.
