Gameplay (not cut scene) path camera available?

I have a general question regarding the camera system in GMK. Is there a way to easily enough have a path camera that'll follow a target during player controlled gameplay that I could control (to stretch the path in/out/sideways to simulate zooming/moving)?

Yuri emailed me and said it was possible utilizing the camera editor.
