collada exporting

how do i export to collada all of my models from 3ds max 2011 to collada and open it up in softimage for export to dts? I know their is documentation links and help on here someones got to know.
Note: If no one can help me i consider not buying torque x or torque 3d. This is my only means i know to test the demo and see if its worth the money to buy the real thing.
