Torque 3D 1.1 Released -- AFX port progressing

A non-beta and non-preview version of T3D 1.1 has been released.
I did not have early access to this version of T3D, but I began working on the port as soon as I managed to download it. Since I already did an internal port to T3D 1.1 Preview the merge has gone quickly so far. What I consider to be Phase-1 of the port is already complete... AFX mods to the engine have been merged, AFX sources have been added, stock T3D demos "FPS Example" and "Sector T3D" have been regenerated, rebuilt, and verified to run. Next, I try to get "AFXDemo" running.

The current broad-stroke goals for AFX2-for-T3D1.1 are to quickly deliver an AFX version compatible with T3D 1.1 Final. To get it out quickly, this version will have had limited testing, about the same as was done for the beta releases. As such, it will probably be labeled as a "Preview" much like the penultimate T3D release. This quick release will be followed up in about two months or so with a more polished version. The extra time will be used to do deeper testing, repair some holes still in the release notes, and possibly explore demonstrable uses of new T3D assets.

Hey, I was wondering if AFX has some sort of UI or front-end? I don't know much about programming and scripting, but I'm looking for more options for FX in Torque. Thanks!

@Tom Swogger -- AFX is pretty much entirely script-driven. To get the most out of AFX, you need to be somewhat comfortable working directly in TorqueScript. That said, AFX does come with lots of working examples, and there is much that non-coding users can achieve through incremental modification of existing effects, without resorting to complex scripting.
